Ephesians
4:11-13 (New Living Translation)
He (Jesus) is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles,
the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility
is to equip (Fit out or provide with what is necessary for action; provide
with arms or apparatus) God’s people to do his work and build
up the church, the body of Christ, until we come to such unity in our
faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature and full
grown in the Lord measuring up to the full stature of Christ.
Build
Upon the Bible, Prayer and Guidance from the Holy Spirit
We build the church upon the Bible, prayer and guidance from the Holy
Spirit. Strengthening the born again spirit comes from studying the Bible,
worship of God and operating in the proper place in the body of Christ.
Determining one’s calling, path in life and placement in the body
of Christ is crucial to successful Christianity. Sermons, curricula, decisions
and ministry direction must align to the Bible.
Witnessing
and Making Disciples
The chief work of the Christian is to be a powerful witness for Christ.
Every Christian should share their faith and work with others to help
make disciples. A person can do so effectively in small teams or one on
one.
Warm,
Loving and Joyful
Christian warmth, love and joy are magnets that attract people to Jesus.
Our philosophy is to put on the new man in Christ, warmth with people,
loving and joyful throughout life. America needs to see the church as
a welcoming and happy people.
Vision-Driven
Church
Based upon Ephesians 4:11-13, Keypointe Church’s philosophy is to
organize the church around the church constitution. It is the responsibility
of the leadership team to ensure that believers are “outfitted for
action” toward God’s purposes. Church is not about the ministry
of any one individual, rather it is about releasing all individuals to
unite in a team effort to advance God’s kingdom. We value working
with other churches and organizations to serve God’s kingdom. Concentrated
energy in a team structure maximizes individual and corporate mission.
Servant
Leadership & Mentors
We will function as a team with visionary servant leaders whose ultimate
purpose is to advance the Name of Jesus. Servant Leadership is not weak
leadership, it is trusting and empowering people for significant works
of the kingdom. We operate with organized systems of mentoring and leadership
development. Having organized systems to develop new leaders is crucial
to achieving vision. Leaders must constantly learn in order to continue
to lead effectively.
Stewardship
Keypointe Church operates with openness and integrity regarding church
money and its allocation. Ownership of the vision to evangelize and make
disciples happens more powerfully in an atmosphere of TRUST. Trust is
signaled as financial data, operations and church goals are up front and
open. Only through TRUST among all stakeholders can a visionary organization
achieve its highest goals.
Shared
Vision
We intend to cultivate an environment of shared vision. Therefore, we
expect members to give their ideas and energy to the innovation, improvement
and implementation of church vision. Like a compass, vision serves as
the “magnetic north” for an organization, pulling everyone
toward a superior future. Achieving an extraordinary shared vision requires
collaboration, coordination, cooperation, relentless improvement and many
hard workers. Trust is the lubricant of soaring vision. Trustworthiness
grows as people unite in relationships to love one another and to work
to advance God’s kingdom. Faith in the vision creates capacity to
grow the vision. We equip people for two parallel purposes, the personal
mission of the individual and the collective mission of the Keypointe
membership. Each individual has a precious calling for which they will
give account. We commit to help people fulfill their calling in its various
applications such as mother, worker, wife, church member. etc. Members
commit to spiritual growth in order to exemplify the character of Christ
as well as to advance the cause of Jesus Christ through the local church.
Pioneering
We pioneer works and equip believers to pioneer gospel works that align
to our vision and impact our communities and targeted nations.
Serving
and Giving
Christians ought to give their ideas, time, energy, money and faith to
their local church. For God so loved the world that He GAVE his son Jesus.
Effective serving and giving are hallmarks of a joyful Christian. When
done well, serving and giving do not seem like duty, rather it is delight.
Members are expected to serve somewhere in the local church as well as
to tithe and give offerings. We also encourage members to serve in community
projects so that society sees the witness of Christ in the serving disciple.
